Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This is a wee gem Excellent fresh, well cooked food, served with a smile. We had the salt and pepper chicken, couldn't finish all the rice due to quantity and quality of chicken. Try it if you can."
"I had a very pleasant meal at Long Cheng with my parents. It is a quiet and very casual restaurant with pleasant and simple meals. The food was light and basic in a good way. The service was straightforward and relaxed, without any of the drama or overwhelming methods used to pull in crowds at other restaurants. If you are looking for something easy and nice then it's a great place to go. I had the chicken curry and it was very simple and tasty"
"Nice welcome on entry as we were seated. The host/waiter in green shirt is very funny, a cheeky character. We decided on the prawn crackers and duck and pancake starter. Mains from the special menu of sizzling chicken, long Cheng beef and special fried rice with seaweed. Very tasty duck starter, fat was so crispy on the duck, just perfect. Sizzling chicken was full of flavour and the long Cheng beef was amazing. Special fried rice was packed with king prawns. Portion size is very adequate. Everything was so nice we ate everything. We will be coming back on our next visit."
"Firstly, this restaurant is super welcoming and friendly. The man who I believe is the manager is just great. The food was delicious, and the portions were good. I highly recommend the Crispy Seaweed (which had grated scallops on top), and the Crispy Shredded Beef was one of the best I've ever had. If you need your Chinese food 'fix' whilst on holiday as we did, then go along to Long Cheng, you will not be disappointed."
"Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long while. Seated quickly by very friendly staff. Ordered the chicken and mushroom and sizzling beef (thanks to a recommendation on google) really tasty and value for money considering some of the pricier restaurants in the marina."
"I recently dined at this fantastic Chinese restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The portions were more than generous, leaving us fully satisfied. The highlight of the evening was the delicious Tinto de Verano, adding a perfect Spanish touch to our meal. The flavors were exquisite, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommended for anyone craving a delightful and abundant Chinese dining experience."
"Only ordered for takeaway, but food was lovely. Not expensive, tasty and well packed. Very nice and polite owners, good English. Highly recommended!"
"Our visit to this Chinese restaurant resulted in a dispute with my wife on our impressions of the meal we had. My wife would have rated this place one star lower than me... What you see here is my evaluation of our evening. Firstly this place was quite full of diners, most of whom seemed to be English. Nevertheless the tireless, older lady working here found us a table and we proceeded to order a liter of sangria which cost only €9,50 - almost half the price of other restaurants in the vicinity. My wife was convinced that this was very weak on the alcohol front but at least it was full or orange and lemon slices... Anyway, we eventually got to order our meal - the excellent crispy seaweed, beef in a hot sauce (I liked it!), prawns in a sweet & sour sauce (my wife loathed the chewy batter surrounding the prawns) and egg fried rice. So mixed feelings. Service was friendly and quick enough for us. The bill was great. Just over €36 in total. Howzat! Oh, and the loos are OK."
